Signature keynote: Ben’s personal story of getting diagnosed as Learning Disabled in Third Grade, the trials and triumphs that followed and what he’s learned about attitude, perseverance, leadership, teamwork and overcoming obstacles since that day. Inspiring, challenging and eye-opening.
Failing with Heart
As an entrepreneur and small business owner with ADHD, Ben has experienced more than his fair share of failure. What he’s learned is that failure can be essential to success, but only if we approach it with heart and the right attitude. Truth is how we handle failure is probably more important than how we handle success. In this message, Ben shares stories of personal disasters and the lessons he gleaned about bouncing back, and preserving his core identity as a capable, successful person in spite of failure.

Ben was AWESOME! I was a bit apprehensive because of the 6th – 12th grade age span but Ben DID IT. His humor brought the students in. They were hooked. Even the principal dropped in because of the laughing and mentioned he was pleased and noticed that the students were very well behaved. Ben’s humor, art work, and his personal message were all very well received. This was very noticeable when a group of students wanted to stay back and purchase items and even talk with Ben. Even though he had a plane to catch, he stayed around as long as he could.
The news of Ben’s presentation got around quickly. I had people from out of town mentioning that they saw his chalk picture via text and heard how much the student enjoyed his presentation. Great news gets around fast.

Also known as the Chalkguy, Ben demonstrated this creativity by doing two amazing pieces of art work for which he is famous worldwide. Ben shared his real life experiences of his journey with ADHD, his message of accepting the challenges, having someone believe in you and his strategies used. Based on feedback from the participants, Ben was extremely engaging and inspiring with his art, advice and encouragement. This presentation couldn’t have come at a better time. On Thursday, I was struggling severely with depression. He helped me snap out of it. I thanked him personally.

Please pass along to Ben how much people have talked about both performances. Several of my teachers told me it was the best assembly we have ever done here. The people that saw the church performance were equally appreciative. Ben made me look like a very smart man for booking him.

WOW… what a neat story of overcoming your obstacles, finding your passion, and using it to positively affect others.

Ben Glenn’s enthusiasm and personal story grabbed the audience’s attention and raised awareness of the unique perspective of kids with special needs. By sharing his own strengths and challenges and making us laugh along the way, Ben helped participants better understand how to reach kids. Everyone was riveted with his chalk “speedscape” as a live example of the possibility that lies in each of us when we follow our heart, talent and dreams.
– Director of Communications and Special Events, Indiana Afterschool Network
I will tell you that having been in this field for over ten years, I was very impressed with Ben. He was very thorough with all the instructions and things he needed prior to our event. All communications between the organizers of our event and Ben were prompt as well as concise. He arrived early and had everything ready to go. He did a fantastic job speaking to our teachers and gave them the motivation and encouragement they needed to be the awesome teachers we know they are and can be! The drawing he did for us was phenomenal and we have been blessed to be able to display his work in our center and are looking forward to doing the Lego Drive for Ben. He brought home the positive message of being able to make a difference in a child’s life and I know that we received nothing but awesome feedback from everyone who attended the event!! I would recommend Ben as a motivational speaker to any group-Hands Down!!
