David Anderson is a riveting speaker for today, whose personal story resonates with his audience. He connects personally by sharing what he has learned – coming from an abusive home with a mother suffering from schizophrenia, navigating the urban life of Chicago, and leaving college to take care of young siblings; all while keeping his eye on Harvard, a corporate finance career, and giving back through his inspirational story.
David was invited to study at Harvard University for Graduate studies in 2009, was elected to the Illinois Board of Higher Education in 2010, co-pioneered a half million dollar law firm, apprenticed at the most coveted New York financial firm, and was also granted the Thurgood Marshall Department of Energy Outstanding Achievement Scholarship all by age 25.
David has been speaking since age 16. David’s appearances include WGN, CLTV News, CSPAN, WVON Radio, and The Total Living Network. Additionally, he has been highlighted in The New York Times, Chicago Flame and The Chicago Sun Times.
With skillful mastery of the business sector, education, non-profit and politics; David can skillfully provoke the mind of corporate professionals, educators, and youth. David’s presentations are always uniquely personal, entertaining, and interactive whether delivered to 50 employees at an executive retreat, 2,000 eager educators at an opening convocation, and 5,000 excited students at a commencement ceremony or a 10,000-member sales force at an annual meeting.
David Anderson’s heart is to inspire people of all cultures and creeds to pursue their passions and never give up on their dreams. He believes Booker T. Washington said it best when he said, “Success is not measured so much by the position that one has reached in life, but by the obstacles which he has overcome while trying to succeed”. Currently, he resides in Chicago, Illinois and is continuing to give back to his community and family.
